And you thought cashmere goats lived only in Mongolia, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Now there are 300 in the heart of Tuscany just outside of Radda-in-Chianti. Nora Kravis, the owner of the goat farm and a veterinarian, offers "Goat Camp" in the spring when the goats are combed for the cashmere and the newborn baby goats are collected from around the property where they are born. What fun for kids! There are also beautiful big goat guard dogs that - the the help of an electrified fence - protect the goats from the foxes and wolves. Wolves in Tuscany? Who knew?
